Take a back seat

An idioms that means to give up control and let someone else take responsibility ( có nghĩa là chọn chỗ vị thứ hai, không chọn vị trí chịu trách nhiệm, để ai đó chịu trách nhiệm)

Examples:
1. Mary was happy to take a back seat and let Jim run a meeting.
2. I'm going to take a back seat this year and let you decide where we go on holiday.
3. Now he's getting older he's decided to take a back seat in running the company.
